Each �Collage Series� piece begins with white clay to which Kathleen adds: color with artist marker, symbolic sketches in ink, followed by layers of clay pattern, texture and gold or silver leaf inclusions.
Wawa Aba is an Adinkra symbol meaning overcoming barriers. This one-of-a-kind brooch can be worn as a pendant with your own necklace or one Kathleen designs for the piece (additional charges apply). The brooch measures 3" x3". It has the Wawa Aba symbol in orange at the center with a mud cloth under parttern in yellow and black. Surrounding includes orange, turquoise & gold clay with an inclusion of gold leaf.
